Preventive Services Guide

Medicare covers many preventive services at no cost to patients. Encourage patients to take advantage of preventive services appropriate for them to prevent and find diseases early when treatment works best.

Use the CMS Preventive Services Educational Tool for coverage, coding, and billing information for each service. Visit the CMS Medicare Preventive Services Announcements web page and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) Published Recommendations for more information on preventive services.
