Topics will include checking a beneficiary’s Medicare eligibility including verifying the dates of a beneficiary’s Medicare Advantage Organization (MAO) enrollment, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) status and hospice periods, using self-service tools to avoid duplicate and overlapping claims, reviewing local coverage determinations (LCDs) and other online files for valid coding and documentation information.
