About the Event:

Did you know having an abundance of certain types of claim errors can put providers at risk of fraud and/or abuse audits and investigation? While most of these errors are usually simple mistakes, continued inappropriate billing could lead to further investigation. Attendees at this session will learn what you can do to ensure that you are compliant with Medicare’s billing rules and regulations and prevent these questionable claim errors. Topics will include checking a beneficiary’s Medicare eligibility including verifying the dates of a beneficiary’s Medicare Advantage Organization (MAO) enrollment, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) status and hospice periods, using self-service tools to avoid duplicate and overlapping claims, reviewing local coverage determinations (LCDs) and other online files for valid coding and documentation information.

Who Should Attend

All Part A providers who submit claims to National Government Services for Medicare beneficiaries.
