Attention Home Health and Hospice Providers Using NGSConnex to Submit Level One Appeals Redetermination Requests

National Government Services strongly recommends that all providers, including home health and hospice agencies, utilize NGSConnex to submit level one appeal (redetermination) requests and supporting medical record documentation.

To expedite the processing of provider redetermination requests, please review and follow the guidelines below when using NGSConnex for submission:

• Only submit documentation relevant to the specific services/dates identified within the redetermination request
• Submit as few attachments as possible. It is not necessary to submit a separate attachment for each supporting document.
  • NGSConnex allows providers to submit multiple supporting documents within each attachment in an effort to maximize the use of each attachment size (25 MG); therefore minimizing the number of attachments received with each redetermination request.   

Please share these redetermination guidelines with all staff members responsible for review and submission of home health and hospice redetermination requests.
