NGS EDI 275 Claims Attachment
Currently, National Government Services Part A providers can electronically respond to requests for additional information (ADR letters) using the X12 275 Claims Attachment transaction through the EDI Gateway.
NGS EDI is pleased to announce the opportunity to submit unsolicited medical records documentation using the X12 275 Claims Attachment transaction. This means, Part A providers will have the same opportunities as our Part B providers. Now, when the provider knows the documentation is required for processing the specific claim type, the provider may submit the medical documentation at the time the claim is submitted.
By sending the documentation at the same time as the 837 claim transaction, providers can take advantage of their Medicare policy knowledge and experience to streamline the processing of claims.
For more information regarding the 275 Claims Attachment process, please refer to the NGS 275/HL7 Claims Attachment Companion Guide and the NGS Attachment Resource Tools documents on our website: NGS Claims Attachments Documentation.
