Quality Innovation Networks - Quality Improvement Organizations Quality Initiatives
CMS leads a national health care quality improvement network of Quality Innovation Networks – Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs). Locally, an independent network of QIN-QIOs lead quality initiatives in each state and territory. QIN-QIOs convene healthcare providers, practitioners and patients to build and share knowledge, spread best practices and achieve rapid, wide-scale improvements in patient care, increases in population health and decreases in healthcare costs.
In each state, we encourage you to reach out to your respective QIN-QIO to determine the resources they have to assist you with your local healthcare priorities and needs. Because QIN-QIOs are funded by CMS to provide technical assistance in these areas, their services are offered at no cost. Follow this link to locate the QIN-QIO in your state and find out how to take advantage of this open enrollment opportunity ending 5/7/2020. Space is limited. The areas of focus in this new QIN-QIO contract cycle are: Improving Behavioral Health Outcomes – Including Opioid Misuse; Increasing Patient Safety; Increasing Chronic Disease Self-Management; Increasing the Quality of Care Transitions; Improving Nursing Home Quality.
