Matching Assessments to Home Health Claims
CMS has recently published instructions on validating the OASIS and claim match for home health claims. SE20010 titled “Ensure Required Patient Assessment Information for Home Health Claims” specifies the steps a home health agency must take to verify assessment/claim match. Please be aware there are four matching items that need to be checked, the final validation report must be checked for errors and submission acceptance and the MBI must be checked to ensure it is still current.
Please follow the instructions in this article and be able to demonstrate the steps you’ve taken to resolve the issue before reaching out to the Provider Contact Center. In most instances, following the steps to ensure the assessment and home health claim match will resolve the error.
