Reminder: Medicare Part B Providers Receiving Hardcopy Standard Paper Remittances – Moving to Biweekly Mailing Schedule
Beginning 8/9/2019, we will change from a weekly to biweekly mailing schedule for Part B hard copy SPR. The only exception will be SPRs that include a hard copy check which will continue to be mailed daily.
We encourage providers who have not yet signed up to receive their remittances electronically to do so to begin benefiting from the advantages of going electronic, including:
- Faster receipt of remittances: view your remittances the day the claim finalizes, rather than waiting until the mail arrives
- Streamlined reconciliation process with increased efficiency: most billing software has the ability to automatically post electronic remittances, allowing your staff to more accurately reconcile outstanding balances and track the progression of billed claims
- Decreased storage and administrative costs: eliminate the need to file and store hardcopy remittances
To sign up to receive ERAs or to view your remittances via NGSConnex, complete the EDI enrollment form.
