National AB Medicare Administrative Contractor Ambulance Provider/Supplier Coalition
Attention Ambulance Providers
In response to numerous and continued requests from the ambulance community, the AB MACs have put together a National AB MAC Ambulance Provider/Supplier Coalition. MACs involved with the coalition include:
- Palmetto GBA
- National Government Services, Inc. (NGS)
- CGS Administrators
- First Coast
- Wisconsin Physician Services (WPS)
- Novitas
The goal of the National AB MAC Ambulance Provider/Supplier Coalition is to:
- Improve Communication: Create a live venue for collaborative and meaningful dialogue specific to ambulance billing and documentation related to Medicare regulations; subsequently offering the MACs the opportunity to better understand day-to-day routines and issues of ambulance providers working to correlate Medicare regulations into practices, policies, and procedures.
- Support Innovation: Through creativity and innovative efforts we will work to develop and launch new and creative educational ideas specific to Medicare ambulance regulations to assist the ambulance community in continued understanding of federal regulations.
- Preserve Integrity: Promote the maintenance of the goals and responsibilities of the coalition in an honest and ethical manner to uphold all laws, rules, and regulations.
- Provide Quality Customer Service: Exceed provider expectations by efficiently and effectively assisting and supporting the ambulance community via educational opportunities, answers to questions, and continued expeditious regulatory ambulance specific updates.
- Create a Responsible, Collaborative Provider Community: Develop an environment that offers providers the opportunity to become individually responsible for services they provide through quality education, as well as meet and collaborate with other members of the ambulance community in an effort to develop a better understanding of best practices specific to Medicare ambulance regulations.
- Protect Beneficiaries and Providers: Ensure the physical and monetary safety of Medicare beneficiaries by providing a clear understanding of federal Medicare services, billing, and documentation regulations that also protects our ambulance provider members.
The coalition will begin meeting biannually this spring; please continue to monitor our events page for our SAVE THE DATE and registration links!
