If an application fee is required, an additional step will be added and the system will generate 5 steps.
Your application was successfully submitted/received on MM/DD/YYYY. This step indicates that your application has been submitted, but your Medicare contractor has not started work on the application. If submitted on a weekend or holiday, the receipt date will be the following work day and will not be indicated on the status tool.
Your application is being reviewed. This step indicates that your Medicare contractor is reviewing the application along with any supporting documents.
Note: The status may indicate that the application was returned for corrections, this means that your Medicare contractor returned the application for corrections and is waiting for those corrections or additional information to be submitted back from you.
Your application fee is pending/received. This step is for institutional or certain Part B providers to indicate they must submit an application fee.
Your application is being processed. This step indicates that the Medicare contractor is inputting data into the enrollment record.
Note: For institutional or certain Part B providers that require a state survey or CMS Regional Office approval, the status will maintain at this position until notification of the tie-in is received to continue process of the application.
Your application has been processed. This step indicates that your application has been processed and you can anticipate receipt of a letter from your Medicare contractor.
