Medicare Provider-Supplier Enrollment with NGS
A Medicare enrollment application would follow the NPI application.
CMS is responsible for NPI application processes and NGS is responsible for processing enrollment applications for PTANs for the following jurisdictions and states:
- J6 : IL, MN, WI
- JK : CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT
A provider may complete an application via paper or electronically. CMS established an easy way for providers to enroll in the Medicare Program via the Internet-based PECOS. PECOS is an alternative to the Paper Enrollment Application process.
Internet-based PECOS allows physicians, nonphysician practitioners and provider and supplier organizations to enroll, make changes to their Medicare enrollment, view their Medicare enrollment information on file with Medicare, or check the status of a Medicare enrollment application via the Internet.
For more information about the Internet-based PECOS, refer to Get Started with PECOS.
For all the information you need about Medicare Provider-Supplier Enrollment, refer to the CMS website at Become a Medicare Provider or Supplier.
