It’s easy to keep current with the latest Medicare information and to maximize your billing. Subscribe to our email lists to receive important Medicare updates in your email box. This service is free and will keep you apprised of important Medicare information. When you subscribe, we’ll send you periodic emails with the latest news and updates from NGS and CMS including:
- Updates to LCDs and NCDs
- Educational opportunities conducted by webinar, teleconference, YouTube video or through our on-line learning system, Medicare University
- Our weekly Self-Service Pulse newsletter, a comprehensive source containing the most current information available for our self-service tools
- The Medicare Monthly Review, our monthly newsletter that combines news articles from the past month from NGS and CMS
- Provider compliance
- Information on claims, fee schedules and codes
- Medicare Learning Network Publications and multimedia

Eligibility Information at Your Fingertips in NGSConnex!
Did you know that you can obtain Medicare beneficiary information in NGSConnex, our secure provider portal?
When you log into NGSConnex and conduct an Eligibility lookup, you will have all of the following information at your fingertips.
- Part B Deductible information
- Other insurance information
- Home Health and Hospice information
- Inpatient/SNF Spell History information
- End Stage Renal Disease information
- Preventive Services information
- Audiology Screening information
- Covid-19, Flu, Pneumococcal Vaccine information
- Therapy information and much more!
There is no need to try and document the information by writing it down, because you can print and or save the information electronically for your records.
How Do You Get Started?
If you are already registered for NGSConnex, login today and go the Eligibility Lookup tab to initiate an Eligibility Lookup.
Not yet registered for NGSConnex? Visit NGSMedicare.com and click Create Account to register today. Registration instructions can be found in the NGSConnex User Guide located on the NGSMedicare.com website.
What if I’ve Forgotten My Username or Password for the New NGS Medicare University?
If you have forgotten your username:
- You will need to send an email to Medicare.university@elevancehealth.com.
- Make sure to send the email from the same email address you used to create the account and put “Forgot Username” in the subject line.
- Remember, you will need to create a new account if you have never had a Medicare University account or have not used Medicare University within the past two years as those accounts have been closed.
If you have forgotten your password:
- From the Medicare University login page, click the I’ve forgotten my username/password link.
- On the Password recovery page, enter your Username and click Continue.
- If you have provided a valid Username, you will be sent a password reset email within a few minutes from Medicare University (system@litmos.com).
- If you do not receive the password reset email in your inbox, first check your Junk email folder and make sure that you have system@litmos.com listed in your safe senders list.
When you receive the password reset email, simply click on the link in the email. You will be signed into your account and brought to your Account Information page to create your new password and click the Continue button to save.
- Remember that your password must be eight characters in length and contain one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one number and one special character. It also must be different than your previous five passwords.
- Once the system has accepted your new password, you will be brought back to the login page and prompted to sign in using your username and new password.
Inquiry Reference ID in the IVR
Did you know that you can obtain an Inquiry Reference ID when you dial the IVR? On the IVR main menu, you will be asked for the state you are calling from and once you have indicated the state you will be asked if you would like an Inquiry Reference ID number before any information is provided. This Inquiry Reference ID number might be helpful if you need or want to document your call to the IVR.
